The apples for this dry sparkling cider were grown on the North Fork of Long Island, New York. A small farming and vineyard community, the North Fork is known for an abundance of fresh produce, award-winning wine grapes and plenty of outrageous rumors. Want to start your own rumor? Apples: Carefully selected blend of jonagold, fuji, cameo, pink lady, elstar, granny smith, mutsu, pippin snow sweet, rome, and empire varieties all sourced from prominent orchards on the east end of Long Island. Pressed at Jericho Cider Mill on February 13, 2013.
Tasting Notes: Pale lemon in color, this cider shows aromas of honey, baking dough and cinnamon. The palate is light in body, crisp and tart with notes of citrus, green apple and touch of minerality.
Pairing: Pair this light, effervescent cider with a summer fruit salad, soft cheeses, grilled pork chops, roasted vegetables, or herbed risotto.
